Yonge + St. Clair BIA: Membership Survey 2023

The Yonge + St. Clair BIA exists to represent its thriving and storied business community. It’s our job to promote, grow and give voice to our inspiring membership.  In our work, we seek to draw upon the feedback of our constituent business owners, employees, residents, and visitors to help foster community in Yonge + St. Clair and continue to transform the area into a beautiful, livable and economically vibrant neighbourhood.

This year we plan to review and update the BIA’s strategic plan to continue supporting local business and property owners. We want to hear from you.

In 2019, we created a Strategic Plan to accomplish several key goals with the ultimate purpose of establishing a framework to aid us as we strive to make Yonge + St. Clair a community of growth and success.

These goals were to:

+ Review the context within which the Yonge + St. Clair BIA was working at the time
+ Identify key insights provided to us by the constituents of Yonge + St. Clair
+ Define the core vision and values of the Yonge + St. Clair BIA
+ Establish broad strategic objectives for our BIA to strive towards

You can review the 2019-2022 Strategic Plan here.

This year we seek to update the Strategic Plan to better suit both present and future constituents of Yonge + St. Clair. While our key goals remain the same, our updated Strategic Plan will identify and adapt to the shifting contexts, community needs and available resources in Yonge + St. Clair. These considerations will be considered as we develop a formalized economic development process to expand upon our work and make Yonge + St. Clair a community that works for everyone.

The questions at the core of the development of our updated Strategic Plan are:

+ How do we envision the Yonge + St. Clair of the future?
+ How has Yonge + St. Clair changed since we last outlined our vision?
+ What strategies have proved successful in our work?
+ Where are our resources best spent in improving our community?

We want this plan to work for you

As we set forth to create this updated Strategic Plan, we are seeking your input on how to best approach these questions and create a plan that incorporates your feedback on our vision for the future of Yonge + St. Clair. In order to accommodate the varying needs and availability of our community, we have created a variety of options to enable your participation in this process.

The tour starts at Northern Radiance (with Asli Alin) located in the concourse of 12 St. Clair East, followed by Weaving the Light (with Jenny Boucher and Mauricio Navarro of D.A.R. Proyectos), and Divining (A Long Story V) (with Lauren Pirie), all within a short walking distance of each other.
